effects. He guards this knowledge and preserves it because it is an
old form of magic from his own people, vowing to the Hist never to
reveal its secrets to an non argonian.
When not fighting or adventuring he can
be found teaching anyone who wishes to learn the beauty of reading
and writing.
Background:-
He doesn't speak much of his history,
but from what friends have found out from him during the long nights
at the campfire or drunk in the taverns is as follows.
He is a father but left Black March
when his life mate and eldest son were killed by a dunmer slave
catchers groups, his other children were taken to Morrowind and
vanished without trace. Striken with grief he left Black Marsh and
wandered the lands of Skyrim learning all he could about the land,
the spirits that slumbered within and its people.
It was in an old dwemer city ruin where
he met Ulfbert Shatter-Shield.
Ulfbert's expedition had fallen foul of
some deadly traps and dwemer steam powered guardians, Left-Paw-Alight
and his team had entered the city from another point, it was only
chance that the two groups met. Upon seeing Ulfbert and the survivors
of his group Left-Paw-Alight decided to lend aid to the stricken
nords. During the daring rescue Left-Paw-Alight lost three of his own
team to the deadly guardians and his right hand, but still managed to
free Ulfbert and Kavak from the traps and guardians that had trapped
them. The remaining survivors from both teams joined forces and
continued to complete their tasks within the city. It was at this
point Ulfbert found he couldn't pronounce Left-Paw-Alight's saxhleel
name so gave him the name of Left-Paw-Alight due to his magic
fireballs being summoned from his left hand.
Ulbert offered Left-Paw-Alight
employment to teach his son Kym to read and write, a job the argonian
took with delight he also became known as the clan holds healer as he
knew about herbs and healing magic. During his time in the
Shatter-Shield clan hold his right hand grew back which was a
testament to the argonians regenerative powers.
In time he saw the birth of Volk and
then Brom and taught them also how to read and write, out of the
three brothers though Volk and Left-Paw-Alight had gained a
friendship that none could explain.
When Volk signed up with general Veldam
for three years of service to the Pact Ulfbert pleaded with
Left-Paw-Alight to go with his son and make sure he was safe.
Left-Paw-Alight agreed and it came to be a relief to him as he was
starting to get itchy feet anyway.
Persona:-
His view on magic is very different
from his peers. He sees spirits living in the land, trees, air, water
and fire; he has also found a way to call on their help with some
very devastating effects in the past. Although he can still use his
own reserves of magicka like other mages he prefers to use
sympathetic magic or the spirits that answer his call.
Left-Paw-Alight is very tolerant of
other races in Tamriel, and is very quick to make fun or joke in the
situations he finds himself in. This has in the past put him bad
light with other mages who view him as a simpleton, only to find out
to late that there is a cunning mind behind the façade.
